QuickBooks Direct Deposit is a feature (free as long as the user has active payroll subscription in QB Online) that automatically deposit employees’ net payroll amounts into their bank accounts. In this scenario, employees don’t have to cash paper checks to get paid, and the even the company doesn’t have to pay extra charges for this direct deposit.

The approved paycheck amount will be directly deposited into employees’ bank accounts on the mentioned pay date. The transaction will be done via a trusted electronic funds transfer system (Electronic Payments Association) used by banks. Sign Up Requirements for Direct Deposit in QB:-

      A supported and active QuickBooks Desktop version
      Federal Employer Identification Number (EIN)
      Uninterrupted and secured internet access
●  A bank account to manage transactions related to Automated Clearing House(ACH) within the USA

Activation Process of Direct Deposit:-

      Sign in to QB Desktop and go to Main Menu
      Select Employees tab
      Now scroll down to My Payroll Service
      Choose Activate Direct Deposit
      Review the form and type the five digits pin code without the extension in the legal company detail when asked.
      In the section of Verify Your Company Information, select Edit
      Now add the Legal Company Name and  Legal Company Address

      Verify email address and Payroll Administrator details
      Add the bank account details that QB Payroll will debit fir Direct Deposit transactions.
      Review the agreement link and select the checkbox to agree with the terms and service agreements.
      Answer the security limit section
      Click Submit and a confirmation message with instructions will appear which users can print.

All the Direct Deposits is forwarded to QuickBooks before 5:00 pm PST and it will take two banking days before the check date. The payroll will offload at sharp 5:00 pm PST. Intuit will charge the mentioned bank account at the working day before the paycheck date which can further arise within 24 hours. Now, the deducted funds will be deposited into employees’ account on the paycheck date.
